“Different” Exercises/Drills. Make it more FUN!

Perform 1-2 of the workouts over the weekend:

1. For 10+ minutes, 1 Minute Walk, 1 Minute Run.  By the 3rd or 4th “Run” you should be at an “Intense” Pace.

 

2. 3 Minute Jog/Walk/Active Movement Stretches

VARIETY – Here at God-Built we believe in always having a lot of Variety when it comes to Exercises and Program set up.  As you can see from the pic above, we like doing “different” Exercises.  The boys are doing some “Bag Drives” with a little added Resistance.  They had a lot of fun with this.  We always tell our youth that we want them to have FUN, but that really is not our main goal.  Our main goal is to help them get Better.  And as they choose to have the right attitude and work ethic, they will end up having FUN.  Yes some days, and some workouts have more “fun” components added into it, and of course the youth love these days / workouts.

As adults too, we need to find more ways to have FUN with our workouts.  Now me personally, that is not something I “need”, but it is nice when it happens.  Some people though may need more of this “FUN” stuff that is just different and stimulating.  If you are one of those that needs more “fun” type workouts, then find a way to make it happen.  We strive here at our facility in Carrollton to add this “fun” component in, and we probably could do more of it.  One of the ways for you though is finding a sport that you enjoy, and use that to stimulate you to stay more consistent with your Regular Workouts. 

Remember this that we tell all our youth: When you come to workout and Choose to have the right attitude, giving your best, you will end up having Fun.  And as we all know, it may not “seem” or “feel” like Fun in heat of the battle, but when it is done you are so “jacked” and happy that you did it!
