Check out the boys at Six Flags yesterday. They won some “superhero” Capes. They were super cool and wore them pretty much the rest of the day at the park. It was a lot of fun and a “last minute” trip we decided to take them on before school starts back.
You know looking at the pic and realizing how much kids are, and we all probably were growing up, amazed by “superheros” got me to thinking about “Why”. I mean heck I am still into “superheroes”. Anytime a new “superhero” movie is coming out I am ready to go see it. I believe there must be something inside each of us that is enticed by the “powers” of superheroes and by the “super” ability to help others.
The real deal for all of us is that we all have “superhero” blood inside of us already. Through Jesus, the real deal superhero, we have inside of us already “super powers”. We have super power to walk in God’s best in our lives no matter our past and no matter what current conditions look like. Also, we have inside of us the ability to IMPACT change in others lives. The Word says that the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead is ALIVE inside you and me, through Christ. And inside of us that power that lives is always able and ready to POSITIVELY IMPACT others around us. There are many ways to use this power to Positively Impact others such as:
Prayer; Giving an encouraging word; Taking time to help someone; Being willing to be “on call” for those needing continual guidance; and just plain ole “being Positive at all times so others see that it is possible”. Remember when I say “being positive” I am talking about being “Word minded”. Word minded always focuses on the power, ability, Grace, and Love that God has given you and that you have inside you at all times, no matter what.
