Starting a Diet: What to Do & What NOT To Do.

Movement Stretches x 7

1,2,3,4,…. For 5/7 minutes:

Pushup Superman (r,l=1), XCrunch, Leg Tuck

*Do 1 rep of each, then 2 of each, then 3, and so on.  Go as far as you can in 5 or 7 minutes

Here is a pic of what I would call a near “perfect lunch”!  At least to me it is near perfect.  I have a good quality Turkey Roll (boars head turkey meat, 1 slice cheese, little mayo n mustard), fresh whole Avocado, some berries, and cup of good ole spring water.  That one was Delicious and Nutritious.

When it comes to Eating Healthy, many times we all make it way too complicated.  Complicated can work, but for most it wont because they will not stick with it long enough for it to become a “Habit”, or just part of what they do!  So we have to find a way to keep it simple, and Effective all at the same time.  Here is a short list of how to do just that:

Drink Water Only, or at least 80% of the time.

Cut back on Grains (breads pastas rices cereals).  *remember it is not that “true” whole grains are bad for you, it is just that most people eat the wrong types of grains, and eat way too much quantity.

Use small, healthy Snacks to keep hunger down, and increase Nutrition to the body: Protein drink, small cup whole yogurt, small handful of nuts (almonds, pecans, peanuts, etc), Nutrition Bars (Kind, Clif).

Use a Nutrition Bar, Protein Shake as a Meal Replacement.  Yes it is true that true whole organicly grown foods can not be replaced in a good quality Diet.  My experience though is that having a good quality Nutrition Bar or Shake is way better than what many would eat otherwise.

Make a conscious Effort to get some good quality whole Vegetables and Fruits in your diet.  If not every day, at least several times per week.

Choose to Think and Say often: Food does not control me.  I control food.  I use food to feed my body powerful healing and life giving Nutrition. (**This is really the most important)

And that is it, nothing fancy, yet Effective.  Keep it Simple.  Expect to control your diet, knowing that HE has empowered you to do so.  Dont get into fear with your eating.  And dont “shoot yourself in the foot” right out of the gates by getting stressed out and or constantly speaking and thinking negative thoughts about your diet such as:

“Oh man, I “have to” go on a diet.  I know it is going to pay off but man this is going to suck!”

“Well I am going to “try” this again, but everytime I start on a diet, I always end up failing.””

“Well I am going to go on this diet, but man it is going to be so hard to stick to it.  The foods I really crave I CAN NOT have them, and the foods that I HAVE TO eat I am not going to like them.”

Like Paul says in the Word: I can do anything I want to, but not everything will benefit me.  I can do anything I want to, but I refuse to let anything put me under its power. (k.j.’s version)
