Nutrition Bars: Here we go again about Nutrition Bars.  I know you have heard me talk about it many times, and yes I am going to talk about it again. 

Nutrition Bars may not be the absolute best option, but for most of us they are a great option.  Here are some of the good things bars have going for them, assuming they are truly “good for you” Nutrition Bars:

1. They are extremely Convenient.  Remember Convenience is a huge key for most of us in staying on track with good daily Nutrition.

2. They can pack a good source of quality whole foods with a good balance of carbs protein and fat.

3. There are many different flavors so it makes it pretty easy to find 1 or more that you really enjoy eating.

4. Again, they are CONVENIENT.  Nuff said.

The whole reason this subject came up is that a good buddy of mine that is following our 40 Day Health Journal (you can download for FREE right here on godbuilt.com, the homepage) called me today to ask me a question.  He said he is traveling a lot over the next 2 weeks and wanted to know my suggestion as far as what to do about staying close to the recommended Nutrition guidelines.  My answer was quick: “Take you a good source of whey protein and some Kind and Clif Mojo bars.”  This makes it real simple, and Convenient, to be PREPARED with good sources of foods.  Now of course he will eat out at some meals, and he will stick close to the given guidelines, but for 1 or more meals, he can have his protein shaken up with water in a shaker bottle and or a high quality Nutrition Bar.  And it is important to go ahead and pack these because if he does not have these 2 items already packed then he will be less likely to buy them when he arrives at his destination. 

There are many things that go into CONSISTENTLY FOLLOWING A GOOD DIET, and one of those keys is BEING PREPARED.  Like you have probably heard it said before here at God-Built: You can be aware all you want, but if you are not PREPARED you are setting yourself up for failure.  So do like my buddy is doing and be Prepared!
