Friends and neighbors
My wonderful mother in law sent me a message today from a ministry she gets emails from. This person was talking about how they for the first time were planting a garden. They had eaten some mighty fine vegetables from a family members garden the year before and decided that they wanted to have their own. After the first day of setting up and prepping the garden, then planting, they realized how much hard work was involved. THey admitted that as they enjoyed the vegetables in the past they did not realize just how much work was involved.
They said God taught them a lesson through this in that per the Bible: a person only reaps what they sow. Also, many times we look at others and what they “have” and think how nice it must be to be them and to have what they have. But as is the case many times, we dont realize what they had to go through in order to get what they have. I understand that there are a few exceptions like winning the lottery and or having a natural “fast metabolism”. But most of the time if you see someone with some “sustained fruit” in any area of their life, you can bet they did some serious SOWING. The question was for me and now also for you: “What are you willing to do in order to get the results you want?” Like a saying you have probably heard many times: You will pay the price somewhere in life. If you are not willing to pay the price now with your health, then you will just end up paying it later in life. The problem is though, if you wait until later it is almost always going to cost you a whole lot more.
Dont be fooled, whatever you sow you will reap. Be willing to pay a price up front, and remember the pay off, or reward, is always worth it. Get on it dog’on it! **and speaking of gardens, check out this awesome pic of the boys at the local JD dealership in Swainsboro. This tractor should be able to plant some more serious garden. Yeh Baby!
