I was talking this morning to one of our clients about the importance of getting “Good Fats” into their diet. Here are some of the foods I mentioned to them that are good sources of Fats that can help to improve overall health:
Avocadoes! (from the pic you can see a homemade mix of fresh avocado and tomatoes)
Cold Water fish – salmon, mackeral, sardines, others. *i also like some good ole “pond” fish like bass, brim / bream, crappie
Extra virgin Olive Oil
Coconut Oil – use in shakes, recipes, or to cook with
Nuts & Nut Butters – walnuts, almonds, pecans
Flaxseed ground, Chia seeds
Whole Dairy– Raw milk and or organic whole, whole Yogurt, “real” butter
GOOD FATS are very important for Good Health. They help with proper Brain Function, Proper Hormonal Balance *which good “hormonal health” leads to many other good physical health effects, Bodyfat loss / weight loss.
And I believe that most people have heard it enough now that they have gotten the old “myth” out of their mind that Fat is Bad and that Fat makes you Fat! But I still want to not assume anything here. So I will say it again:
FAT IS NOT BAD FOR YOU. FAT DOES NOT MAKE YOU FAT.
FAT IS HEALTHY FOR YOU. Choose the Good sources of Fat as mentioned above and eat plenty of them. Eating too much of anything, worrying and stressing, eating poor quality processed foods, and NOT EATING enough good Fats all contribute to making people Fat!! So eat up! FAT IS GOOD!!
