This pic is from 2 years ago I think.  We were all loaded up for the big Fourth of JULY parade.  We always love going to the parade on July 4th, and we are already excited about our Independance Celebration coming up this Saturday.

I was talking with our youth GB Athletes this morning after their workouts.  I was reminding them to be excited about July 4th, to have fun, be safe, and most of all TO BE THANKFUL!  We talked about how truly blessed we are by God to be able to live in this awesome Nation that is a blessed Nation because it was founded on God, and as a majority we choose to recognize HIM as our head.  And we are so blessed because we have had and continue to have so many wonderful men and women who willingly sacrifice their lives for our FREEDOM! 

I also talked to them about some of the current events in our country.  I didnt go into any specifics, only to say that whether they agree or disagree with current political movements and legal decisions, they need to pray for our leaders.  The Word tells us that “first we should pray for our leaders, those in authority over us, that we can live in peace.”  And that is some great advice.  So too, I encourage you and myself to pray over and for our leaders, that God will direct them to make the right decisions such that it continues to keep our country going in the right direction.  

No matter how you shake it out, I think it is pretty much non negotiable that our country for the most part was founded on Godly principles and has been the most blessed Nation at least since its beginning.  And I believe that it’s all because our nation as a majority chose to put God first.  I mean heck look at the thing that the world says makes “the world go round”: Money.  Money is one of the most important things in this world.  I am not sure when it started but look at who we honor on our money: IN GOD WE TRUST! (I am not sure either if this is still on all our money)  All this to say I still believe that we are a CHRISTIAN NATION.  No matter what anyones beliefs were and or are, if they have lived in the great USA, they have experienced the blessing of living here.  So lets keep PRAYING FOR OUR LEADERS, AND THANKING GOD FOR THE BLESSING OF LIVING IN THE GREAT USA!!  And remember all our men and women who did and do serve selflessly in our armed services!! ye baby!  Thank you LORD!
