COW MEAT – Is it good for you or not?

This first Pic is of me and David Ben walking on the beach.  Both of my boys still like to hold my hand so I take advantage of that.  The second Pic is one I have put out before.  My lunch today included a Hamburger and some good vegetables but I didnt think to take a pic of it so this is the next best thing.

Here is my lunch for today: 1 Hamburger patty, Turkey roll with 1/2 teaspoon mayo, mustard, Fressh from the garden peas appr. 2 tbsp squash relish on top, and homemade Salsa from fresh tomatoes. The Hamburger was either deer or locally grown cow from a good friend of mine.  My good buddy gave me some cow meat he raised on his farm and me and the family have truly enjoyed it.  I always recommend locally grown meat as it is much better for you.  Most likely it will be grown without the use of growth hormones and antibiotics.  And raised in open green pastures with plenty of Sunlight.  All those elements are key for high quality and nutritous meat.

All of us should do more to eat locally grown produce, meats, and dairy.  We all have access to this and it is not as costly as most think.  Some think that red meat is not good for you.  I dont agree at all.  Now, when you eat too much redmeat and especially when it is your normal “commercially” grown cow meat, like almost all in the grocery store is, then you have a problem.  True, real red meat is very nutritious for you, but that is when it is grown “naturally” without the use of growth hormones, and antibiotics.  Also the word “naturally” grown should mean for the majority of the cow’s life it is outdoors in fresh air and sunlight with “green” grass to feed on.  And of course you can get into other factors, but the ones i mentioned are the most important.  So do yourself, your health, and your local community a favor and buy “LOCALLY GROWN” FOODS.  We do this on a small scale and just try to do more of it as we go.  SO GET ON IT DOG’ON IT!!

YOUR HEALTH, YOUR LIFE, YOUR CHOICE  Godbless u kj

  1. That looks and sounds delicious. If the good Lord made it then it’s got to be good! I believe God created the animals for our use both for companionship and consumption.
