SLEEPY time is Important Time!

boysreading2Joshua Paul loves to read, and especially before bedtime.  Sometimes David Ben will let him read to him like in the pic.  Good brothers!

Speaking of “Bedtime”, I got a very good reminder today from a health resource, Precision Nutrition, I get info from concerning the importance of a good night sleep.  Check this out quoted from their email:

“Good sleep helps us stay fresh, lean, strong, mentally focussed, and healthy.

Bad sleep slathers on body fat, screws up hormones, ages us faster, increases chronic illnesses, and drains our IQ and mojo.”

Now you have most likely heard that “good sleep” is important for health, but I want you to consider this and give more attention to it.  You can do your own research on this but most “experts” agree that Consistently getting a good night sleep is critical for good health.  Here are some of the suggestions the resource made:

-7-9 hours of steady sleep

-turn off all electronics before bedtime. **and i think we all know we should not sleep with the tv or any other such light on.  this big time interrupts our bodies ability to get that “deep sleep cycle” that is critical for good hormone production

-take a warm shower before bed if that helps you to relax

-set a routine so your body gets accustomed and it will start setting that internal clock for you and promote more consistent proper hormone production

All in all, I encourage you to focus on getting Consistent and good sleep each night.  This can make a big difference in your health!
