Some of My Favorite “Healthy” Foods

jpdbdeerWe took the boys to Little Vine Petting Zoo outside of Temple yesterday.  Here is a pic of them with “Bambi”.  This place was pretty neat with many different animals for the kids to see and “pet”.  I would recommend this place if you live nearby.  The boys had a great time!

You know it.  I know it.  We all know it at least to a certain extent: Eating “better quality” foods is very beneficial for our overall Health.  On this note I want to share some of my favorite “Healthy Foods”:

GREENS – Turnip Greens, Mustard Greens, Collard Greens, Spinach, Kale

FRUITS – Strawberries, Blueberries, Pineapple, Cantoloupe, Blackberries, Raspberries

RED MEATS – Deer burger, Deer Tenderloin, Deer Cube, Grass Fed Beef

FISH – brim, bass, Salmon, Halibut, Mahi mahi

EGGS – fresh local grown

NUTS & SEEDS- almonds, walnuts, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds

And of course there are many more.  These are just a few of my favorites.  Go ahead and start adding some of these into your daily diet.  Dont focus on “taking the bad foods out” of your diet.  Just focus on finding ways to daily add in some of the better choices.  Then as you do that you will most likely wind up cutting out some of the “less than best” foods so you can get the others in!!
