Check out 2 of our wonderful ladies doing some “Squat Presses” during one of our SuperFit group workouts!  Oh yeh, for now that is the “new” name of our Group Training program: SUPERFIT!  I say for now because honestly I am still not sure if that is what I am fixed on yet.  So I am going to go with it to see if it sticks!  Really it does not matter what we call our workout program, the main thing is that it is highly effecient and anyone can participate and GET RESULTS! 

Speaking of “getting results”, I have something for you today from Dr. Don Colbert.  He is a practicing medical doctor and highly renowned author on health and Nutrition.  I really like him and have read a couple of his books.  I am going to give you a quote from him that can help you TO GET RESULTS in your Health, but it is not on the topic of Nutrition or Exercise.  The topic is STRESS!  I know you hear me talk about this a lot, and I will keep reminding you to be aware off the need to get rid of Stress.  Stress is a main culprit for poor health.  Many people see and hear that statement and say “ye I know that”.  And maybe they do to some degree.  Many times they disregard it and want to know more about Nutrition and Exercise tips and or “tricks”, when the main thing they need to do first is assess the Stress in their life and make a purposed plan to handle it and get rid of that Stress.  Check out this from Dr. Colbert:

“….. That stress reaction, so useful in moments of actual emergency, becomes a self-destruct switch that eventually can lead to exhaustion and disease.

A great way to turn off the stress reaction is to reframe. Reframing is learning to shift your focus away from your present point of view in order to”see” another person or a situation from a new perspective. Imagine yourself coming out free on the other side of your circumstance. Envision all of the positive effects that will result from the situation. The heart’s power to bring thoughts back into “sync” is a powerful tool to reframing the mind.

 For some people reframing takes time, but often it doesn’t. It depends on your willingness to let the old belief go. You may feel it’s not safe to let it go, because if you do, the hurtful event might happen again. But I have news for you. If you don’t let that distorted belief go, it’s as if the hurtful event is happening to you over and over. It is similar to a thorn that is stuck in your flesh and has broken off, and now it is infected and festering.

 The prospect of speaking to huge crowds when my pastor called me onstage kept me in a state of stress for a long time, so I had to reframe the situation. Instead of seeing it as an opportunity to embarrass myself, I finally realized that it was an opportunity to give information on health that would help many people. In fact, it was a great opportunity to share my knowledge with thousands of other people. After a while I saw it as a golden opportunity, not a time to hit the panic button.

 I now frame my day each morning, and I encourage you to do the same. Live each day as if it were your last. From eternity’s perspective, even “big” problems seem small, James wrote, “You do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.” (James 4:14 NKJV).

Stress kills, steals, and destroys.  Stress is the opposite of FAITH.  Stress is Fear Based.  Through Jesus Christ we have been empowered to walk a STRESS FREE life.  It does not mean that you will not have many opportunities to Stress, but through HIM you can “reframe” your thinking just like Dr. Colbert says.  Put your trust in HIM, and choose to control your mind, thoughts, and Words to steer fear out.  And let HIS Faith that is already huge inside of you, come out!! \
