Using “events” to Improve your Health

Encouraging Word: Make sure your Mouth is pointing you in the direction you want to go.

Nutrition: Limit Restaurant visits.  When you do eat out, make a “Better” choice.

Exercise, GB DW– Movement Stretches x 8.  Max rds ascending for 5, 10, 15,….. in 4 minutes of: squats, Pushup Shoulder stand.  **do 5 reps of each, then 10 reps of each, and so on going as far as you can in 4 minutes

In the pic is a group of guys representing Team God-Built during a crossfit competition some time ago.  Cool pic.  These guys trained very hard for this competition.  And this is a great example of using an event to help you stay consistent with Exercise and Nutrition.

Committing to some kind of event is a great way to motivate yourself and keep yourself encouraged to stay consistent with your improved Exercise and Nutrition actions.  There of course are many different types of events, and really all that matters is that it is what you are willing to commit to.  You could sign up for a 5k, set a weekend to go for a specific and challenging hike, set a date that you go for some personal bests in pushups, squats, and or burpees, etc.  The main thing is not the event itself, but the fact that it helps to give you focus on what you need to do, and the fact that you need to stay consistent in order to do good at the event.  And again, if you want to simply make up your own event you do on your own and or with a group of friends at a specific date, then that is great.  Get on it dog’on it!
